This Privacy Policy explains how the Expense Tracker mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles your information. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

The App lets you enter information manually:

Names of people you track.
Income and expense entries (amount, category, notes, date).

This information is stored only on your device in a local SQLite database. We do not upload, transmit, sync, or back up this information to any server, cloud, or third party. Only you have access to it from your device.

1.2 Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Your name, email, phone, address, age, or any account credentials.
Location data (GPS, network, IP).
Contacts, photos, calendar, SMS, or call logs.
Device identifiers used for analytics (we do not run analytics SDKs).
Health, biometric, or financial credentials (no card numbers, no bank logins).

The App has no login or sign-up. No personal account is created.

1.3 Information collected automatically by third parties (advertising)

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may automatically collect limited information from your device, including:

Advertising ID (AAID).
Device type, model, OS version.
Coarse network information (country, language).
IP address (used by AdMob to localize ads and detect fraud).
Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks).

This information is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We do not have access to your individual advertising data.

2. How We Use Information

The data you enter is used only to show you your own records inside the App — totals per person, monthly summaries, history.
We never sell, rent, or share your entered data with anyone. It does not leave your device.
Advertising information is used by Google to serve ads. We do not use it for any other purpose.

3. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

Permission	Why
`INTERNET`	To download advertisements from Google AdMob.
`ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`	Required by the AdMob SDK to detect network availability.

The App does not request: location, camera, microphone, storage, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, or biometric permissions.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the App, please contact us — there is nothing we can delete because we hold no personal data, but we can guide you to uninstall and clear local data.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before serving personalized ads, in line with GDPR and ePrivacy rules. You can change your choice anytime from device settings or by resetting your advertising ID.

If you are located in California, the CCPA gives you rights regarding your personal information. Since we do not collect personal information ourselves, requests should be directed to Google for advertising data.

You can opt out of personalized ads by:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

App data (your entries): Stored locally on your device. To delete it, either delete entries inside the App, clear the App’s storage in your device settings, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling permanently removes all your entries.
Advertising data: Held by Google per its own retention policies, not by us.

7. Security

Because your entries are stored locally on your device, their security depends on your device’s protections (screen lock, encryption, OS updates). We recommend you enable a screen lock and keep your device updated. We do not implement additional encryption on the local database — please do not store sensitive secrets in the notes field.

8. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service integrated into the App is:

Google AdMob (advertising) — https://admob.google.com/

We may add other services in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated and the updated version will appear in the App and at the public URL where this policy is hosted.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
